What happens if a child unplugs or disables the device?
If the detector is connected to the Tuya Smart app, the parent will instantly receive a push notification if the device is unplugged, turned off, or loses WiFi signal. The detector’s inactivity is also visible in the app, making tampering easy to detect.
Can a child “fool” the detector?
The detector is mounted high – out of reach. It has no OFF button. If it gets blocked, moved, or disconnected, it becomes inactive – and that’s a red flag. There’s no way to fake normal operation. Smart parents will notice quickly.
Does the device work without WiFi?
Yes. The vape detector works fully offline by emitting a loud alarm and flashing lights when vape particles are detected. The app is optional.
