Aspire PockeX AIO Starter Kit

The handy dimensions of less than 12cm in length and a diameter of less than 2cm make the ASPIRE PockeX a perfect companion in everyday life. The large battery capacity of 1500mAh, which are output directly to the coil in bypass mode, can generate large amounts of steam. The PockeX AIO is filled by unscrewing the lid, a so-called top-fill system. The PockeX has been developed leak-proof, the airflow is not adjustable. When filling, make sure that the tank is not filled with the maximum indication on the outside. Since the coil is screwed together with the lid, screwed in after filling and displaced this liquid - otherwise it would come to an overflow.

In the ASPIRE PockeX the Nautilus X coils can be used, but since the power can not be adjusted, only the new 0.6 Ohm coils should be used. As these ensure ideal steam production and have been developed precisely for this device. Using the Nautilus X coils (1.5 and 1.8 ohms) will not produce sufficient steam. The new 0.6 ohm coil has a durable stainless steel winding (316L) with ASPIRE U-TECH technology. When using a new coil, it should always run through 5 minutes in the liquid. So that the whole cotton in the coil can be soaked with liquid and thus a cocooning is prevented.

Aspire Pockex review

PockeX is an e-cigarette designed for beginners, for vapers allergic to "big" e-cigarettes or just to have an extra model in your pocket that does not cost too much.

PockeX is primarily a Nautilus X clearomizer mounted on a 1500 mAh tubular battery. 19.7mm diameter Nautilus X with 2ml safety tank.

All in one

The PockeX is what we call in the vaping world "all-in-one", or AIO as rival manufacturer Joyetech would say. All in one, because when you buy this PockeX you get all the vaping equipment you need. Battery, clearomizer and resistors. Getting started is great and couldn't be easier.

U-Tech

Aspire's so-called U-Tech coils are supplied with the PockeX. 0.60 ohm 316L stainless steel resistors. They are very good for flavors and vapor as they are well designed with very wide ventilation that exceeds all odds. It's no coincidence that Aspire is recycling the Nautilus X clearomizer to install in this PockeX e-cigarette. Nautilus X looks good with this U-Tech resistance.

Thanks to the 0.60 Ω impedance, you can vaporize liquids well dosed with vegetable glycerin. I even managed to test the 10/90 PG/VG which passed. But if you prefer 50/50 or 30/70 PG/VG, that's perfect. It must be said that the two e-liquid coil channels are very wide and saturate the coil perfectly. This is a very good point, the PockeX handles most juices without any problems.

Note that after a long pause, the resistance may make crackling noises. This is because there is a liquid inside the resistance. Nothing serious, however, it returns to normal after a few puffs.

Some air

Let's move on to PockeX ventilation, which is unique. To be able to vape, air must enter the electronic cigarette and exit with the vapor through the drip tip (tube at the top of the e-cigarette). This is called airflow. In the PockeX, the airflow is located at the top of the tank, very discreetly. Unlike most electronic cigarettes on the market today, the airflow cannot be regulated! A bit like first generation e-cigarettes. The difference is that the airflow is more open than in the old models. Slightly less open than competitor Ego AIO, but enough for a good draw. This may seem like a risky choice on the part of the Aspire, which clearly prefers to keep its e-cigarette as simple as possible rather than offering a coarse ventilation setting. Personally, I find this vape quite adequate.

DriP-tip?

The drip tip is made of Delrin to insulate the heat that steam can sometimes create.

Installation

To start PockeX, open the top-cap on the top of the e-cigarette, pour the E-liquid up to the line indicated on the tank, close the top-cap. And wait a few minutes until the coil is well soaked if this is your first use. As you already know, it doesn't get any easier. In addition, the instructions are clear, clean and precise.

Hermetic for everything

The PockeX tank is removable. Convenient to clean and possibly easy to replace in case of breakage. The tank is removable but remains perfectly sealed. As always with the Aspire, the quality of the connections are perfect One of the strengths of this PockeX is the complete lack of leaks from the tank. A pocket-size e-cigarette that doesn't dirty your pocket.

In terms of autonomy, I was able to vape for a good half a day before the LED around the switch turned from blue to pink. Pink initiates the reload signal. By the way, reloading is quite fast.

First of all, a classic vape

Like I said, the PockeX offers a tighter draw than the Ego Aio, but it's not too tight. We can vape directly, although the PockeX is limited to this type of vaporizer, despite the subhom resistance. For everyday vape it is perfect.

Would I feel the same as with a real cigarette, the smoker who wants to switch to an e-cigarette wonders? The answer is yes: PockeX and liquid with the right nicotine content will do the job perfectly. Add a reasonable price and much higher build quality to the low-end e-cigarettes that abound in the market (in tobacco shops, for example) and you have an electronic cigarette that might make you discover what vaping means.
