Warning to Vapers from Ireland

The Irish Students Union (NCISU) has warned of the growing threat of e-cigarette products.

The warning was issued after an incident in which a young woman was drugged with an unknown substance in an electronic cigarette.

Experts warn that more and more similar cases are being reported in Ireland. Usually, strong painkillers, synthetic marijuana or LSD are used to stupefy the potential victim.

The NCISU statement advised not to accept e-cigarettes from strangers and not to share your own e-cigarette with anyone.

Key Concerns Raised

  1. Drug-Laced E-Cigarettes: Reports indicate the use of substances such as strong painkillers, synthetic marijuana, or LSD being added to e-cigarettes to incapacitate unsuspecting individuals.
  2. Increased Reports: Experts have noted a rise in such incidents across Ireland, emphasizing the need for vigilance.

Advice to Stay Safe

  • Do Not Accept E-Cigarettes from Strangers: Avoid using vaping devices offered by people you do not know or trust.
  • Avoid Sharing Your Device: Do not share your e-cigarette with others, as it could be tampered with without your knowledge.
  • Purchase from Reputable Sellers: Always buy e-liquids and vaping products from verified and trustworthy sources to ensure safety and authenticity.

Conclusion

The warning serves as a reminder of the importance of caution when using e-cigarette products. Protect yourself by being aware of your surroundings, staying vigilant about where you source your vaping materials, and not sharing your device with others.
