Ravintsara oil - the best remedy for colds

When we catch a cold, we eagerly reach for therapeutic essential oils. We know very well that eucalyptus, pine or lavender clear the respiratory tract, help to breathe, and disinfect the air in the house. It's time to discover something new - one of the strongest antiviral extracts, i.e. the oil obtained from the tree growing in Madagascar, Camphor Cinnamon, with the Malagasy name Ravintsara. It's a real germ killer.

What is Ravintsara oil?

It is an endemic plant from Madagascar (that is, it grows only on this island), belonging to the Lauraceae family. Due to the essential oil it contains, it has become fashionable in recent years. Note: There are various essential oils on the market called "Ravensaea", "Raventsara", "Ravensara" or "Ravintsara". Therefore, it is worth checking what raw material the extract was obtained from, whether it is Cinnamomum camphora (chemistry * 1,8-cineole) or Ravensara anisata (with other medicinal properties, contraindicated during pregnancy).

Malagasy people have appreciated the healing properties of ravintsary for centuries. They use preparations obtained from huge, "leathery" leaves of the tree as a remedy for many ailments and as a seasoning for various dishes.

It can be used in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, laryngitis, and flu. It not only has bactericidal properties, but also strengthens the immune system. Therefore, it is also used in the treatment of herpes and shingles, as well as in insomnia and anxiety.

How to use ravintsara oil?

The simplest method is to spray it into the air with a diffuser. Remember not to use aromatherapy fireplaces - high temperature destroys the valuable, healing ingredients contained in the extract. You can also pour a few drops on bedding (it will help you fall asleep and help you breathe during an infection), or prepare a fragrant bath with the addition of oil.

Here are the recipes for the use of Ravintsara Oil (Ravintsara Oil: Cinnamomum camphora sb 1,8-cinéole), prepared especially for you, for various ailments:

For anxiety and stress

  • Ravintsara
  • Petit grain (Citrus aurantium ssp aurantium)
  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

Two drops of each for 10 ml of base oil (e.g. almond oil, coconut oil, etc.), massage along the spine.

For problems with falling asleep

10 drops each in 10mL of base oil, massage your feet and solar plexus in the evening before going to bed.

With the flu

  • Lemon (Citrus limonum)
  • Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata)
  • Ravintsara

Prepare a bottle with a mixture of all the oils, then in the morning and evening pour a few drops into the diffuser and inhale the healing aroma.

Second Option

Flu - Adults

Massage 3 drops of ravintsara essential oil onto the lower back, along the spine, and onto the chest. Perform this activity 5-6 times a day. In addition to these 3 drops, put 1 drop of essential oil in a small teaspoon of honey, olive oil or 1 cube of cane sugar and dissolve in your mouth. Repeat 4 times a day. This is a total of 22 drops a day. This is the correct and needed dose to fight the flu.

It is not recommended for children under 15 years of age and for pregnant women in the first trimester. Caution should be exercised in people with asthma.

Ravintsara for the flu for children:

Apply 3 drops of this essential oil to your forehead, nose wings, chest, and back. Do this 3 times a day for 3 days. This recipe is also valid for colds. Can be used in children from 3 years of age. It is recommended to dilute 3 drops of essential oil in 3 drops of vegetable oil (e.g. sweet almond).

For cold sores

Ravintsara

Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia cineolifera)

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris CT thujanol)

Pour 1 ml of each oil (about 20 drops) into the bottle. Topically apply 6-8 times a day for 48 hours or longer as needed.

Second Option for Cold

Prepare a mixture in the amber bottle in the same proportions (e.g. 1 ml of each essential oil):

  • niouli essential oil,
  • ravintsara essential oil,
  • adiata eucalyptus essential oil.

Massage 2 drops of this mixture into the chest 4 times a day for 3 days.

It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age and for pregnant women in the first trimester. Caution should be exercised in people with asthma.

Hay Fever

Apply 1 drop of ravintsara essential oil and 1 drop of tarragon essential oil to the nose, the wings of the nose (watch the eyes), chest and upper back. The effect is immediate, soothes itching, coughing bouts and a runny nose. Unfortunately, it only takes a moment, but it brings relief. Do this activity 2-3 times a day for 20 days. Take a week break every 20 days. You can also add it to a handkerchief and inhale occasionally.

It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age and in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Caution should be exercised in people with asthma.

Ravintsara essential oil is indispensable and only when you start using it, it will stay with you permanently ..

Thanks to its remarkable antivirus properties, it will be of great help to you already in the fall. It will protect you and your family against winter diseases. It can also be used in synergy with other essential oils to treat winter illnesses, even in children. Moreover, ravintsara is easy to use. It is non-toxic and has practically no contraindications in physiological doses. So you can use it for massage, distraction, and by mouth. So as soon as fall comes, start applying ravintsara essential oil and protect yourself from winter sickness. You will not be disappointed.
